Charlie Sheen found 'irrational, emotionally disturbed' and, duh, drunk in trashed hotel room

Charlie Sheen has been hospitalized in New York; he was reportedly "intoxicated, irrational" and "emotionally disturbed." Charlie Sheen has been hospitalized in New York after the "Two and A Half Men" star (and best paid man on television) was found drunk, "irrational" and "emotionally disturbed" (police sources tell TMZ.com) in his trashed room at The Plaza early this morning. But wait! There's more cliches to fulfill! Life & Style Weekly reports Sheen was passed out on the bed, and a naked woman from an escort service was screaming in the closet.
To make matters worse, Sheen was in New York to spend time with his two young daughters, Sam and Lola, from his marriage to Denise Richards, and they were checked into nearby rooms.
Sheen had gone to his room with a woman but flew into a rage when he noticed his wallet was missing, the New York Post reports. Security staffers came upon the scene around 2 a.m., and found
tables and chairs tossed and a chandelier damaged, according to the Post. Life & Style says that Sheen was half-naked and passed out, but when cops arrived on the scene, he started screaming at them. Cops gave him two choices: the hospital or the police station. Though paramedics were overheard referring to the incident as an overdose, a conscious Sheen was spotted in shots and a bathrobe leaving the hotel in an ambulance.
UPDATE: Sheen’s rep tells People.com that the actor had “an adverse allergic reaction to some medication” and is expected to be released today.
Sheen, who has a long history of drug, alcohol and anger management problems, underwent his latest stint in rehab earlier this year after he was arrested for beating up wife Brooke Mueller and threatening to kill her on Christmas Day.
