What is a Cooper Union

Only one of the best and i mean the Best Art Schools in the world

Ok not just art, engineering, architecture and more

I cant even bring myself to mutter the rest of the distinguished names

but i am getting ahead of myself

it didn't hurt to have a beautiful Daughter

who is also the annual funds manager

at the Cooper Union

she is the light of my life

this daughter on mine

Dad dress up

Dress New York evening wear

i am from Newark

my evening wear is crack head wear

but for my daughter any thing

took me two days to get ready

shave twice

get the hair cut

remove stray white hairs

and are growing in my nose, ears,

ok i will stop

aging is a bitch

anyway

to make a long story short

i had my outfit all picked out

all black

vintage dinner jacket

with that wonderful tie of mine

with pink skulls

hey i am still a artist damn it

ok lets get dressed hurry

i  am going to see Yoko ono

the first album i brought as a young teen

was Beatle 1965

ok i am getting dressed

and just as i zip up my new black pants

the zipper rips

right out in my hand

ok lotion lotion

i am now stressed out

ok what do i do

never mind

ok i change pants and i am on my way

i arrive in new York

get off the path train

7 world trade center

is right next to the path train

ok i always arrive early

the cop in me, makes me show up early

and case the place

i watch who is going in

how do I get out

and get in the zone

the people zone

ok so i walk up to the window

and my daughter is sitting at the desk

the entrance

i stand in the shadows

and watch this beautiful creature

watch this beautiful young woman

were did she come from

me,

no.......her mother

my sister Donna My Mother

, My aunt Vernell, Gran ruby

she came from all of them

smiling

ok I pace and smoke

and wait for my date

Lauren see's  me watching

Oh No......

she tells me she can feel my presence

she is truly my best friend

she gets me

she comes out give me a kiss

we laugh and talk

then she goes back to work

ok Teri Shows my date for the night

hot coals in little tiny bowls

concoctions that i cant even pronounce

taste i had never experienced

God that food was good

and i must have looked hungry

because this one waitress must have enjoyed

the look of immense pleasure on my face

because when she came out with a new tray

she came right to me

God bless her heart

ok i digress tons of food open bar

Now You cant really understand the beauty of new York

until you are up this high

all dressed up and in the company of a beautiful woman

 

I felt like Bobby short

did i say a Beautiful woman i should have said many

but two in particularly

Teri and Lauren

I really liked her

The room was packed

with the power players in and around new York

Half of the money in new York was in this room

the people that make new York

i belong her

that right

I love meeting new people

a different vibe here

every one was so friendly

courteous and just plain nice

anyway

I ate a Talked Teri and i ran out mouths

catching up

God those cheese Fondue thingy's

were amazing

connecting and having a great time

Some one was bidding on my piece
