THE ART OF
KEVIN BLYTHE SAMPSON

5/18/25

. I was the first African American Uniformed Composite Sketch Artist in the country.

A BLAST FROM THE 70's-80'S.... God I miss my Jeri Curl...
Here I am first in Uniform as a patrolman and then as a Detective in the Detective Bureau

. I was the first African American Uniformed Composite Sketch Artist in the country. I did hundreds of sketches all over the state of New Jersey and had a 85 percent resemblance rate.
i was trained by Retired State Police Sgt George Homa in the first school of its kind. Sgt Homa was the father of Composite sketch art in the Metro Area. I Received tons of commendations for my work as a sketch artist and Patrolman including the 200 clubs medal of Valor. My Father was asked to recruit African Americans for the Police Department, and He more or less ordered me to take the test.
I killed the test and became a cop at 20 years old. My Father used to say that i was built like a fireplug, I lifted weights daily and was built like a tank. I used to want to be a black panther but wound up being a cop, but My Father who was the Proudest Black Man that i have ever met....Lived in my Head. Hell he still does....get out get out...lol.
