This is New Jersey: Fishing at dusk on the Manasquan River
The Manasquan River flows from central Monmouth County to the Atlantic Ocean, where it empties between Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach via the Manasquan Inlet. On special nights like the one pictured here, the colors of the setting sun and water become one and we enjoy our sparkling pink river until dark. This area of the Manasquan river is also the home to what we call “Treasure Island” which can only be reached by boat. There is a water taxi that runs a route between many waterfront restaurants and can even be rented for kids pirate birthday parties on Treasure Island. Visit the Wikipedia page for more information on the Manasquan river and how Treasure Island got its name.
