Why I hate the news media......
We have let the news media lock us into their ratings game
In such a complete way, ……..that it is now affecting our government.
As we the people
Lose the sanity and the sanctity of human contact
My space face book and twitter oh my
We are slowly but surely being controlled by the media, with televisions 24-hour news cycle
We sit and wait for news of disasters and we watched the
Replays of the Haitian earthquake details, until its lost past present and future
We watched until every newscaster had a taste of this big story
In addition, had a Geraldo Rivera break down moment.
We move on to the next attempt at human contact
Reality shows,
Because we are so busy typing and meeting people, on line, that we have lost control of face-to-face conversation
The art of conversation is dying
Everything now is a sound bite
We have become a nation of spiteful old queens
We love to watch peoples lives become broken
We love to watch people climb back up to the top after failing down
Not really
We really just like to watch the fall because it makes our lives
Seem some how better
Its used to be that we loved to watch people recover and prosper
Because we didn’t want to see others in pain
Now we love watching them drop more
Than watching them rise
Not a whole lot is exotic any more
The last great hold out was the Middle East
Terrorist, icons, Islam and more
They Used to be foreign and scary……….now we know that the real terror
Is the home grown kind the news media kind
How much power would terrorism have without the ability?
To broadcast its horror in real time
I watched the news media create
The anti tax, anti government movement
They took 100 old angry white people and channeled it into a movement
And then turned to us……….and said
These are the real Americans
When did America start and end in the Midwest
Why are they any more American
Than me
A guy who sat at the table and grew strong
The news media has made White folks exotic
White trash are the new gurus on television
From Dog the bounty hunter
To pawn shops
To exterminators
Deep-sea anglers……….
Who after years at sea, and years in a almost infectious isolation
Of small white fishing towns
Have also been added to the list of holy men
Television is training us all
To accept less
To look for less
Glen beck, Sarah palin
Anderson cooper
Rich Sanchez
They are all starting to look more and more alike to me
I used to think that some of them cared about what they were reporting on
In addition, maybe they used too, believe …………..
Before the televiosn god turned them too

America has become a spite full old queen
That makes every one have to pay one way or another
Confess………its become like the Salem witch hunts
Do you denounce Satan?
Farraken, your racial identity, your humanity
Your party or some thing
When I think of how those old white guys
Made Judge Sotomayor, crawl because she stated a simple observation

You have to have a find god moment

All of my life I have been called arrogant or angry

Wants to see you suffer
Only then can the old queen sip its tea and feel whole
A break down to let the world see that you are human
And frail……….and that you feel their pain
No Obama they just want to watch you suffer
They just want you to pay

Suffer………..repent………..

The world isn’t done with you yet
Because those same people who helped you make all of that money
Will soon be pulling at your hair…..soon be yelling at you
For one thing or another your trash roots will one day come back to haunt you
Just like all the rest
Its just a matter of time……
.then they will watch you suffer…….
It’s the American way
Some one has to be the blame

Some one has to suffer
From oil spills
To the deficit
To any thing that can or will go wrong
No mistakes
No learning curb
You mess up
Human error
Act of God
Alternatively, just plan bad luck
You will have to suffer
The news media requires this
They need constant stories
Moreover, pain is the land of the devil
And the news media
Is some thing else
All of those things that I thought that I had grown out of
Are coming back to bite me too

Our nation conversations are dictated by a bunch of talking heads

They exploit racism, sexism, nurturing it all
For good ratings
Then look at us with those false eyes
And say
Repent, repeal, reform, replay,
But most of us
Suffer…………..
