Stuff Kevin Wrote: African Americans Lets Pass it on

charles-white-preacher As I enter to the winter of my life

is it the winter or the autumn,

ok as i enter into the fall of my life

fall-leaves

i feel a obligation as a African American

to pass along

the things that black people have come to be

known by

Things that we Like to say

at least we used too.

what Am i talking about

i have to pass on the old black people noises

We have to  pass them on to our youth

you know some of these sounds

You hear them

When a older black person gets up ………………

after sitting for  a while

or sitting at all

We always like to  make a face,

a face that is some where between

torture and ecstasy…..

We then like to  look up

as if we are staring in to the heavens

looking for or at God

3441345194_c6ff111914_o

Look up with that Florida Evans  (Ester Rolle )

moon like  face

Look up as if

only the lord could know our pain

Look

Its the “no body knows the trouble i feel…….

No Body but ………………………..Jesus

  The look

it takes years and years to master

and is rarely down as well as They did

on the set of Good times……….

or in the movie “Sounder”

sounder

but its still there

in all of us old Negroes…….

and it should be passed on

the other part of this movement

is the sound

that some times accompany's this symphony

their are diversions

for those still a bit too young to have mastered the look

which can work all by itself

Anyway these people

will utter a sound while rising

and looking up to God

its a sigh a groan, a movement

its Billie Holiday

and Aretha

ArethaFRANKLIN_450x350

or martin Lawrence

p47

he’s got all  the  right moves

and sounds

anyway the groan

in cases that need immediate attention

its accompanied by a

Lord Lord

or the supreme attention getter

Jesus

JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSUsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

this sound is so effective

as to  some time even be able to  give

a Evil Slave master………… pause

to  briefly return his humanity…….

Freddy D Had it

the look and the voice

the sounds

anyway

As I compiled my list of African American

sounds , gestures and  their meanings

i have to quickly ad

the Feets

my feets

and I mean the feets

black people feet are always hurting

and i know their are many medical causes

of African American, Latino and Native American

propensity of health related foot problems

i know i know i know

but let strip it to the minimal

to some of the spiritual and root causes

of black people foot misery

CA-161-90-Case-Yellow-Trapper

every African American over 50

recalled their parents or grand parents

working on those feet at night just before bed

Now

lock that in your mind and come on this journey with me

some place in side of me

i believe one of the legacies of slavery

and its racist  breeding system of slaves

hold on

this is my……  foot pain  theory

yes

the slave master chose the best of the stock

yes I saw Mandingo

mandingo_lrg

what ever

And they probably were perfect subjects

except for their bad feet

so when the master observed

that slaves were always limping

he kept this in mind

so this trait has been passed on

or at least the perception of it

because black folk complain

more about their feet then any thing

else but the Man

Lord lord

My feets

I know I do

feet foots toes bunions

they are the perfect excuse

not to have to leave the house

unless it for some thing you want

its a reason to leave a party

and every one regardless

of color gets it

I call this the Kunte Kinte legacy

we all tend to walk like some thing is missing

maybe a toe

that why were walk like we are trying to float

michael-jackson-moonwalk-main_Full

trying hard not to touch the ground

thats why the moon  walk was perfected

its a rouse

to disguise his hurting feet

lets pass this on

what else

yes lord

negro please

and take me Jesus …………………….take me

black_jesus_screen

both most of all

our youth need to hear this old saying

over and over again

yes Mam

yes sir

thank you

And ………………….don't make me take my belt off

belt2

all of these saying are part of African American

culture

lets pass it on
