Hipsters can now virtually “clean up” the streets of Brooklyn.

“A swelling appreciation of Hey Baby, not as a game but as a provocative, important work of interactive art as social commentary” says Seth Schiesel a writer for the - you guessed it, NY Times, who lives in - you guessed it Williamsburg, Brooklyn which is where the new video game he reviewed takes place. Really Seth? Do you really look at it that way? Just because you live in the artistic center of the universe doesn’t mean you have to candy coat it and call it art. In the game Hey Baby, you are a dirty hipster girl getting hit on by mostly black and latino men on the streets of Williamsburg and you get to spray them with bullets from your machine gun.

Suyin Looui, an Asian woman and ‘artist’ who just had to live in Brooklyn at some point in her life says in a radio interview that she did not intend to make the game racist and violent. Uhhhhhhhh, right Suyin. We believe you.
