Firstly as a ex police officer, one thing I do know

That the first thing a good cop does is find out who lives where

And who does what

Esp. in a small town

This is not new York

And when gates Id himself

The cop should have backed off

If he wanted to do some thing

If gates was that crazy

He should have issued a summons for disorderly conduct

It is a summons offense

He could have made his point and avoided embarrassing him self and a prominent resident

Cops know this

They know this

Obama perhaps shouldn't have said stupid

But it was stupid

Stupid as hell

And I jumped up and said praise the lord when he said it

Every person of color knows

How cops treat up

I am a ex cop, I get stopped all the times

My kids are harassed by police

My students are harassed by police

One of my adopted sons was beat to a bloody pulp

By police on the path train for mouthing off

That he had done some thing wrong

And this silliness that we have moved passed race is silly
