Cops: 'Vampires' Stabbed Man Who Wouldn't Give Blood
Updated: 1 hour 57 minutes ago
(Oct. 11) -- Having roommates sucks -- especially when they're vampires.
Police say an Arizona man was stabbed last week after he refused to allow his housemates to drink his blood.
Robert Maley, 25, told law enforcement officials in Chandler that his housemates -- who are into "vampire stuff and paganism" -- turned on him when he rejected their request and mocked their bloodsucking ways, according to NYDailyNews.com.
Though Maley had allowed roommates Aaron Homer, 24, and Amanda Williamson, 21, to drink his blood at least once before, he said no on Oct. 4.
That's when Homer allegedly stabbed the victim in the left arm in the apartment they shared.
Firefighters responding to a separate incident in the building spotted a blood trail leaving the apartment and alerted police.
When officers confronted the "vampires," Williamson initially said she stabbed Maley in self-defense, while Homer gave several stories that police didn't believe, according to AZCentral.com.
Police said Homer -- who was charged with aggravated assault and filing a false police report -- later confessed he stabbed Maley because his housemate had made fun of him for being a vampire.
Williamson was charged with filing a false police report.
Maley -- who received stitches following the incident -- was arrested for probation violation stemming from a prior assault conviction.
Earlier this year, a 21-year-old was arrested in Ohio when he drunkenly claimed to be an immortal vampire and threatened to eat a law enforcement official's kidney.
