And it broke my heart
And reformed it again
What did people see in this guy
Greatness
Which some times comes with flaws
And demons
But which comes so rarely
That we should applaud it
Nuture it and celebrate it

I wont talk about them today

I don’t know if I will go that far
But he took the problems
That black folks had with themselves
And flipped it some how
And through all of this
He remained black
