Liza Lou�s medium of choice may be the diminutive glass bugle bead, but the resulting installations are anything but small scale. Her installations are truly labours of love that take countless hours of effort, so although the work for her most famous pieces was executed in the 90�s, they are timeless representations of domestic life that are definitely worth seeing when the exhibitions travel. Kitchen is a monument to woman�s work within the home, one created with millions of tiny beads glued onto the surfaces of many real kitchen objects. The installation is a full-sized kitchen of 168 square feet, fully-equipped with appliances, breakfast cereal and a sink overflowing with dirty dishes.
